Who could not resist a Shiba puppy? - Well, I can...Puppies grow and more like thinking how cute the puppies are I would rather concentrate on the question what they are like to be as adults. Is Shiba something I will have in my life for a long time? - As luckily the average forecast age is about 15 years or so.

My answer to the question why to breed is wanting to maintain this awesome breed. To be able to keep in mind what it has been without forgetting that the breed also should have a future ahead. I want to breed only Shibas who "deserve" to reproduce and who would have something to give to the breeds future.
There are many people wanting to get a Shiba puppy but I hope that I will ever try to get puppies only being able to sell puppies to those people. For us our Shibas are family members and I do not like the idea that people would not be interest in our Shibas. That they would not like to meet them - and only then decide if they would like to have a puppy from them. I do understand that some people are not willing to make the effort. Why take all this time, visit some Shiba in its own surroundings and then possible wait for ages if it would get some offspring? It would be so much nicer to just go and meet the puppy.

So what do I want to tell you? Its not only about finding a responsible dog breeder (and YES, that is something you should do!) - its also about asking your self if you are going to be an responsible dog owner. If you think you would be one, you would be ready to answer my questions towards you (yes, you are more than happy to ask yours and I make my best to get you the answers) and you would also like to get to know our Shiba - in that case; do not hesitate to contact us. But please; try to keep in mind that Shibas are living creatures. They do not get puppies very often. Sometimes the litters are rather small. And no, the puppies would not likely be born during your holidays.
And just as an reminder...
